A death sentence given for the man who kidnapped and killed an FSU grad student and dumped his body in St. Augustine.
A St. Johns County jury recommended the death sentence for Quentin Truehill in March. He was convicted in February of first degree murder and kidnapping.
Prosecutors say Truehill escaped a Louisiana jail where he was serving a 40 year sentence for armed robbery and manslaughter. He then abducted Vincent Binder in Tallahassee, robbed him, killed him, and dumped his body not far from the St. Augustine outlets.
Two other people who allegedly went on the crime spree with Truehill have yet to stand trial.
