The Clay County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release that “the victims were standing outside the suspect’s apartment building, with two additional victims when he began firing recklessly from inside his apartment.”
Deputies said Crawford shot at the victims as they were running away, and “two of the victims were not injured as a result of the incident.”
When deputies arrived, they spoke with residents, who told them the shooter might still be nearby.
While CCSO was investigating, two victims showed up at a Burger King nearby.
