Jacksonville, FL — Update at 11am: The bridge has reopened to traffic.
Original story: A mechanical issue has closed the SR 206 Bridge to Crescent Beach.
The Florida Department of Transportation is on scene and attempting a temporary fix in order to get the bridge reopened to traffic. It could take until Noon for the repairs to be made.
The bridge will be closed this weekend from 8pm to 6am for mechanical repairs, so St. Johns County drivers are urged to seek an alternate route.
