Grief counselors are expected to be at Middleburg High School again today after the death of one of their teachers over the weekend. Melanie Blodgett died when her and her husband Les Blodgett got into a car crash as they were returning home from Disney World over the weekend. As students and teachers returned to school yesterday, they honored their beloved teacher by wearing different Disney character t-shirts.
“She’s crazy about Disney. Her favorite place to go, her favorite place to be.” Says Ashley Morin, who is a student at Middleburg High School.
Just hours before her death Melanie spoke to her brother John Padgett.
The family has set up a Go-Fund-Me to help with the funeral costs. If you’d like to donate we posted the link for you below.
“Tell her I love her, and I didn’t know it would be for the last time, but ya know, I have no regrets.” Padgett says.
