Nassau Sheriff: "Community will be shocked" when details are released about disappearance of mother, Joleen Cummings

Jacksonville, FL — With Nassau County mother, Joleen Cummings, now missing for 20 days, her own mother is putting out a heartbreaking plea for information.

"It's been 20 days since we've not heard or seen my daughter, Joleen Rebecca Jensen Cummings, who disappeared on May 13th, her birthday, which was Mother's Day-- a holiday on which she was born on. There was no celebration, only broken hearts... it's been 20 days. Joleen's three beautiful children have not seen their mother. They miss her so much," says Anne Johnson.

Nassau Sheriff Bill Leeper says they continue their investigation, but he says Cummings could be just about anywhere.

"We know our suspect was in Nassau Country, Duval County, and St. Johns County after May the 12th, which is the last day Joleen was seen," explains Leeper.

WOKV told you when Nassau County deputies announced the arrest of their prime suspect in the case, Kimberly Kessler. Leeper says they've identified at least 18 different aliases tied to Kessler, including most recently Jennifer Sybert.

“We’re not quite sure yet, why all the disguises, or if she’s been involved in the disappearance of anyone else before, but it seems she’s definitely running from something. As we continue to gather more and more evidence and facts, we have learned this case is very unusual. And one, I’m not sure we’ve ever seen in Nassau County before,” says Leeper, speaking about Kessler.

Leeper's asking anyone that may have rented a storage unit to Kessler within the past year to come forward. He also asks anyone that's known Kessler to drive a different vehicle, other than her black 2016 Kia Soul to come forward, as well.

He says Kessler has stopped speaking with detectives in the case, so they need the public's cooperation. Leeper adds that once they're finally able to reveal all the details in this case, the community will be 'shocked.'

First Coast Crime Stoppers says it's received 23 tips so far in Cummings' disappearance, but none have cracked the case. They're now raising the reward amount to $4,000.
