Pedestrian killed crossing Atlantic Boulevard in Jacksonville Saturday night

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A woman in her early 60s was fatally struck by a car while walking across Atlantic Boulevard on Saturday night, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.

The woman was walking north across the 10000 block of Atlantic Boulevard at about 9 p.m. when a silver Infiniti sedan hit her, Sgt. Coffey of JSO’s Traffic Homicide Unit said in a briefing.

“It should be noted that she was not in a crosswalk when she was struck,” Coffey said.
