Police identify man killed in accident at Bacardi plant

Jacksonville Sheriff's Office have identified a man killed Thursday after an industrial accident at the Bacardi warehouse on the Northside.

Lawerence Daquan Davis, 21, was killed after 4;30 p.m. at 12200 Main Street when he was crushed by a heavy piece of equipment inside the warehouse, according to police.

JSO and the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration are investigating.

The facility is a research, developing and bottling plant. Scientists there help develop new flavors of rum.  The plan produces about 45,000 cases of it a day.
