Near-record high temps for Thursday, Friday

Jacksonville, Fl — Enjoy the dry, sunny conditions today, with afternoon temperatures near normal, in the low to mid 70s. We’ll be partly sunny throughout the day.

Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh is tracking a warming trend that will begin on Wednesday. Temperatures will be in the upper 70s, and even warmer on Thursday.

Friday’s record of 83 degrees will be threatened as well with temperatures forecast in the low 80′s. We will stay warm through the weekend.

Thanksgiving Day will be partly cloudy and warm with an isolated shower. Temperatures will climb into the low 80s. The record high of 84 degrees in 1946.

TROPICS: Low pressure well south of Bermuda may have some opportunity to briefly become “subtropical.” This will continue moving away from the U.S. and pose no threat.
