Jacksonville, Fl. — A sales tax holiday goes into effect throughout Florida on Friday at 12:00 a.m., and runs through Sunday, with some technology items now added to the list of approved items.

The sales tax holiday includes clothing, footwear, and other accessories selling for $60 or less per item, according to the Florida Department of Revenue. School supplies costing less than $15 per item also qualify.

This year, unlike previous sales tax holidays, technology items costing less than $750 each qualify for the tax break. This includes laptops, iPads, car adapters and more. Televisions are not approved for the sales tax holiday.
