If you hold a license through the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, beware of an email scam.
The unsolicited email appears to be from the DBPR and says there could be pending disciplinary action against your license. It is actually form identity thieves.
The email directs you to call a toll-free number to provide personal identification information. The DBPR says you should never give out personal information to any unknown party who makes contact unsolicited. If you receive the email, you should not return the contact but instead call the Department directly at 850-487-1395. You can also check your online account for any public disciplinary action.
