SKETCH: JSO seeks sexual battery, home invasion suspect

Jacksonville, FL — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help finding a man accused of forcing his way in to a Southside apartment and sexually battering a woman, with her father also present.

JSO says the incident happened around 1:30AM this past Sunday, May 13th, at a complex near Gate Parkway and Burnt Mill Road. Police say the victim and her father were in the apartment, when an unknown black man armed with a handgun kicked the door in and entered the apartment. The suspect allegedly forced the victim and her father in to a bedroom, sexually battered the female, and then fled after demanding money and a cell phone.

JSO says the victims called police after the suspect fled.

The suspect is described as a black man who’s 5’6” to 5’8”, 170 lbs with a heavier appearance. The suspect spoke a foreign language. He was wearing a yellow jacket with a two-letter logo on the upper right chest area, light blue jeans, and a white or red hat.

Police have identified a probable suspect vehicle as well, which was seen entering the apartment complex at 11:20PM Saturday by tailing another vehicle, without lights on. The vehicle left the apartment complex around 1:53AM, also without lights on.
