Several blocks of Linda Drive on the Northside were blocked off with police tape early Monday morning because of a mass shooting.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said four people were shot Sunday evening in a neighborhood south of the Trout River.
Two men were found dead on the street and one man died inside a house. JSO released the victim's identities as 17-year-old Prosper Natron Johnson, 20-year-old Deanta Holsey, and 26-year-old Bobby Norris III.
Two other women survived and were taken to UF Health, according to police.
Both women underwent surgery Sunday night. Police originally believed both women were shot, but we’re now told one was shot and the other was injured in another way.
Neighbors said between 25 and 30 people gathered outside of the house on Linda Drive for a cook-out and to shoot a music video before two men in masks opened fire.
“It's just horrible, especially because it's setting a bad example for the kids,” said neighbor Brandon Adams.
Police still have not named a suspect or suspects.
JSO extended the crime scene Monday morning after reporters found bullet remains outside the original crime scene perimeter. Officers also noticed several cars had flat tires, possibly from bullets.
