JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Jaguars celebrate a Jaguar legend. Action News Jax spoke with fans surrounding the excitement
“He’s given heart, he’s given the city dedication and made the city great,” says Brian Dziwulski.
“As a player he just never seemed to stop, he always seemed to be going strong,” says Carl Leewe.
Duval nation celebrated Jacksonville Jaguar legend, Tony Boselli during their halftime show, gifting Boselli his Hall of Fame ring.
“He is such a great guy and to have it happen here in Jacksonville where we can all enjoy and take part in this is an amazing opportunity,” says Ken Dziwulski.
Now we’ve heard from Tony Boselli himself about what it means to celebrate his accomplishments. But how do the fans feel? Brothers Ken and Brian Dziwulski have been season ticket holders since 1995. They’ve been watching Tony Boselli since the very beginning.
“The 96-playoff game against Buffalo when he just destroyed Bruce Smith. I mean the guy’s a hall of famer, an all-time sack leader, he completely abused him the entire game,” says Brian Dziwulski.
“We really truly love him, and I hope he continues to stay with the organization,” says Ken Dziwulski.
Earlier this week Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry made Tony Boselli the first Jacksonville Jaguars player to get a key to the city. Fans say something like that is well deserved.
“There’s a lot of players that play their hearts out and they don’t get any kind of recognition for it outside the team and local community so it’s great to see something that doesn’t normally happen, happen to a Jacksonville player,” says Carl Leewe.
