ORANGE PARK, Fla. — UPDATE 3:00 PM: The Clay County Sheriff’s Office said that two students were taken safely into custody after reports of a firearm on campus.
According to the sheriff’s office, “the firearm was a water gun designed with realistic features,” and the students involved will receive juvenile civil citations and will be disciplined according to district policy.
After deputies determined there was no threat to the school, students or staff, the lockdown was lifted.

Orange Park High School went into lockdown Monday morning, and the Clay County Sheriff’s Office quickly shared the news with the community.
Sheriff Michelle Cook posted on social media to let everyone know there’s a strong police presence at the school as officers work to clear the area.
There are no injuries involved, according to deputies.
