Voter turnout high all across Northeast Florida for midterm elections

Jacksonville, FL — Between the races for a Florida Senate seat and deciding the next state's governor and then all the amendments, voter turnout was high all across Northeast Florida.

According to numbers released by the counties' supervisors of elections, St. Johns and Baker counties led the way, with turnout just above 70% in both.

 ST. JOHNS COUNTY:

Clay, Duval, and Nassau counties weren't far behind, with turnout in the low to mid 60's. Nassau led that group with turnout at 65%.

BAKER COUNTY:

 NASSAU COUNTY:

DUVAL COUNTY:

CLAY COUNTY:

These numbers well exceed the last time there was an open governor's race and really any non-presidential election in recent years.

Across the area, early voting seemed to be the most popular option for voters to cast their ballots.
