Warm and windy for St. Patrick’s Day, rain likely to start the weekend

Temperatures climb to the low 80s with a warm breeze this afternoon.

Jacksonville, Fl — Today is our warmest of the week, as temperatures climb into the low 80s with a warm breeze. Action News Jax Meteorologist Garrett Bedenbaugh says it’ll be partly sunny throughout the day.

Clouds increase by tonight and rain moves in overnight. It’s going to be mild as well with low temperatures in the upper 50s.

By Sunday we clear out and turn cooler. Other than an isolated morning coastal shower we should see a lot of sunshine and temperatures only rising to the low 60s.

Saturday looks like a cloudy day overall with scattered showers and storms. Temperatures will be near average in the low 70s.

Back to school next week looks cool. Monday’s high temperature will only be in the low 60s with partly sunny skies and only an isolated coastal shower.

Tuesday will feature scattered showers and temperatures into the upper 60s.

The National Weather Service in Jacksonville reports this winter saw the highest-ever number of days 80 degrees or warmer at 28 days. The average is 10 days. JAX also set a new February record with 17 days at 80 degrees or higher. The normal is 4 days.
