Jacksonville, Fl — Today will be our 5th straight day with cooler, below average temperatures (average high is 85). Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh says onshore winds will continue, with a high rip current risk.
There may be a few scattered showers that move in off the Atlantic Ocean at times, and they’ll favor the coast, but will be isolated at best. Most neighborhoods should remain dry. Temperatures will only top out in the upper 70s this afternoon.

Friday is looking a little warmer and more humid with scattered showers and thunderstorms possible - but again many neighborhoods will remain dry.
A few showers are possible tonight and low temperatures will continue to be below average at 60 degrees.
Then the pattern changes for the weekend with calmer winds, higher humidity, and seasonally warm temperatures. Saturday will be near average at 85 degrees with an isolated afternoon thunderstorm.
Sunday will be downright hot and dry with temperatures near 90 degrees. The pattern remains hot into the new work week with temps near 90 degrees.
