New wave of St. Johns County coronavirus vaccine appointments opens Thursday

People looking to get vaccinated for the coronavirus through St. Johns County have another opportunity to sign up Thursday starting at 9 a.m.

The county received an allotment of 3,900 Pfizer vaccines from the state this week. People who sign up will be able to get the shots Feb. 12, 14 or 17.

Once the appointment window opens you can either go here to sign up or call the St. Johns County COVID-19 Vaccination Hotline at (904) 295-3711. You won’t be able to sign up at either of those spots before 9 a.m.

If you’re able to make an appointment, you’ll be given a second appointment for your second dose at the first appointment.

More appointments will open up in the future as the county receives more doses and right now the appointments are still being reserved for people 65 and older or frontline healthcare workers.
