2 teens with handguns arrested after large fight at Ohio mall

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Two teens allegedly carrying fully loaded handguns were arrested after a fight involving more than 40 juveniles at an Ohio mall on Saturday, authorities said.

The two 17-year-old boys were arrested after the fracas broke out on the first floor of Easton Town Center, according to WBNS-TV. They were charged with aggravated riot and carrying concealed weapons, the Columbus Division of Police said.

Police said that officers were called to the mall at about 8:45 p.m. EST after receiving reports of a fight, WCMH-TV reported. Officers and security personnel at the shopping center observed between “40 to 50″ juveniles in a fight, including the two 17-year-olds were the most aggressive combatants, according to the television station.

A spokesperson for Easton Town Center told WBNS that there was an altercation at the mall that was “taken care of.”

There were no reports of injuries, and police said no shots were fired.

The suspects were taken to the Franklin County Juvenile Detention Center, according to the television station.
