A threat written on a bathroom wall at Bishop Kenny High School forced the school's evacuation on Monday afternoon.
The threat said that a bomb would go off at 2 p.m., the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said. Students were evacuated to the football field. The all-clear was finally given around 2:45 p.m.
Police were called shortly after noon Monday. K-9s were brought in, but nothing was found.
JSO said the threat was seen right away because of the bathrooms are usually free of graffiti. It was unusual to receive a threat that late in the day, JSO said.
Lt. Jimmy Judge, a 27-year veteran of JSO, said this was the first time he could remember a threat at the Jacksonville high school.
