Active manhunt in St Johns County

Right now, multiple police agencies including Florida Highway Patrol, JSO, and the St Johns County Sheriff’s Office are searching for a man on the run after his involvement in credit card fraud this morning.

Detectives with the St Johns County Sheriff’s office say two men and one woman were involved in the fraudulent use of a credit card at a local store.

The incident happened just before 10:30am at the Dollar General on State Road 16 in St. Augustine.  Investigators say they were called out to the scene after getting contacted by employees at the store.

Deputies arrested a female and male suspect. However, authorities say one male suspect is still on the run.  Sgt. Catherine Payne says he’s believed to have multiple warrants for his arrest but its not confirmed at this time.

The man is described as a black male, with a beard last seen wearing red pants or shorts and a purple shirt. He’s believed to be in the area of I-95 North of County Road 214.
