Cops ID bicyclist killed in Westside hit and run crash

Jacksonville police have identified the man struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver on the Westside early Tuesday morning.

Cops say they found the body of 51-year-old Roy McGrath at the intersection of Cassat Avenue & Fremont street. Police say McGrath was struck while riding his bicycle

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 2100 block of Cassat Avenue was closed for about five hours while police investigated; it is now reopen. They have not released any information about a suspect or vehicle description.
