A Jacksonville Sheriff's Officer's dog, Hemingway, has been found.  He was apparently shot in the face, but is expected to be OK.

Hemingway was reported missing Tuesday morning after a break-in at the officer's home in Murray Hill.  The Officer's personal guns were stolen from the home and the suspects took his truck as well. There was blood found at the scene, and no sign of Hemmingway.

One of the suspects in the break-in, 14-year-old Patrick Bell, was arrested after police say he was spotted driving the officer's stolen truck. Bell allegedly tried to hit several officers while attempting to drive away, ramming in to patrol cars and ultimately a pole. When he was arrested, police say he had crack cocaine in his pocket.

Another suspect is still sought for the burglary, but there’s no description immediately available.

Several people from the community gathered Friday morning to help find Hemingway. Just about an hour after the search started, the dog was spotted. He was less than a mile from the home.
