Jacksonville, FL — A team of 41 JEA linemen and support personnel are returning to Jacksonville this evening after a 30-day mission in Puerto Rico.

This was JEA’s first rotation to aid in the reconstruction of the island's electric infrastructure following Hurricanes and Maria.

A second team of 45 linemen and support personnel left Jacksonville Tuesday morning to take place of the crew that’s returning home, but future rotations are less certain.

We told you two weeks ago when Puerto Rico decided to end its contract with Whitefish Energy.

JEA's agreement with Whitefish runs through November 30th.
