Man attacked with hammer during Arlington home invasion, suspect still sought

Jacksonville, FL — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is continuing to investigate after a disturbing home invasion last Thursday, involving a suspect armed with a hammer.

According to the incident report, an unknown man entered a home on Pecan Street in Arlington and attacked a 58-year-old man who was sitting on the couch.

The victim told police that he kept telling the suspect, "You've got the wrong guy", but says the suspect didn't say a word and kept hitting him with the hammer.

The report says once the victim started screaming for help, his wife and roommate came running out, prompting the suspect to run out of the home.

He was last seen getting into a white pick-up truck and driving off. Police describe the suspect as a white male in his 30's or 40's, with a shaved head and clean shaven face.

As for the victim, police describe his injuries as serious.
