Jacksonville Police warning you about a scam targeting the elderly.
Investigators say An 83-year-old man had ten thousand dollars stolen from him by two people who had an elaborate story about visiting from another country and wanting to give money to the homeless.
According to police, the bank teller urged the elderly customer whom she knew to not withdraw the money. Investigators say a little while after he withdrew the cash, they received a phone call from that same customer that he had been swindled out of ten grand.
Another case involving an elderly woman seems to have a similar description.
Police are now searching for two black men driving a red Dodge Charger in connection to their investigation. If you have any information you're asked to call police.
