TAXWATCH: Lots spent, little to show as city ponders lawsuit

The city of Jacksonville is spending more taxpayer money on the new courthouse with very little to show for it while trying to decide whether to sue the company that built it.
We've been reading over invoices our partner Action News obtained that a construction law group sent to the city billing them tens of thousands of dollars but with little explanation of what's being done.
The city was deciding whether to file suit and told our partner Action News in 2012 would pay $60,000 and hire an outside law firm. A year later, the $60,000 is nearly gone, no suit has been filed, and some taxpayers are wondering why they're still shelling out money for this building.
When asked when to expect the contract with the law firm to be done and whether more money would be spent, the city told Action News they don't discuss legal strategy.
