Thursday, we take a look at Nassau County. Director of Emergency Management Greg Foster says with all the new growth on the east side of the county, it’s important for people to understand the potential vulnerabilities their property might have if a storm comes here.
“Hopefully their talking to their neighbors, hopefully the, the, people in real estate are letting them know what the situations are.” Foster says.
Foster says a lot of new residents have moved into the county recently, so they are really trying to get the message out of have a plan now. Included in that plan, Foster says you should prepare to stay with family, friends or at a hotel if you have to evacuate and use a public shelter as a last resort because of coronavirus.
