The Clay County Sheriff’s Office arrested Ashley Odessa Chiasson, 31, Thursday night on financial fraud charges.
Originally, they wrongly arrested and jailed Ashley Nicole Chiasson, 28, for the same crimes.
The wrongly accused woman now plans to sue the Sheriff’s Office for the mix-up that landed her in jail on two different occasions.
CCSO wrongly arrested another person at the beginning of the year for a sex crime he didn't commit.
