Jacksonville, FL — It’s not JUST cold. It’s cold AND windy. Northeast Florida is feeling the coldest air of the winter (so far).
We are under a hard freeze warning until 9am today, and a hard freeze watch is in effect from late tonight through Friday morning.
“We’ll only slowly go up today. Temperatures will stay below freezing through the early morning hours, only climbing to about 40-45 by the lunch hour and finally into the mid to upper 40’s, with a few spots around 50 degrees, for a couple of hours late this afternoon”, said Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh.
Expect another hard freeze tonight, but by Friday we gradually begin to warm up. And the weekend is looking really nice overall with temps in the upper 60’s to near 70.
