JSO officer buys man new bike tires, says 'you just have to help someone'

Jacksonville, FL — Going above and beyond.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is celebrating the actions of one of their own, saying he's "making a difference one day at a time."

JSO says Officer Terrance Hightower helped a man, using his own money, after he noticed he was riding a bike with no back tire.

After his shift ended, Hightower went back to the man's house with two new tires .

Hightower says, "Remember who you are. I saw this guy today. He was just doing what he has to do, the right way. Sometimes you just have to help someone."
