Man shot, killed while sitting in car with wife on Westside

A man in his 40s was shot and killed while sitting in a car with his wife on the Westside early Friday morning.

It happened around 1 a.m. in the victim’s neighborhood on Guardian Court, in the Normandy Estates area.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said the man was shot multiple times and the wife was uninjured.

Detectives are speaking to the victim’s wife and searching for surveillance video.

No suspect description was released.
