Orlando car chase ends in St. Johns Cty, meth found

A car chase that started in Orlando ends all the way in St. Johns County after 11 p.m. on Wednesday night.
The Flagler Sheriff's Office tells WOKV that three of the silver BMW's tires were blown out by stop sticks placed on U-S 1, but it continued driving on three of its rims as it entered a construction zone.
Police say the car nearly collided with a vehicle and its operator, but still it continued into St. Johns County where more deputies from the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office joined the chase.

FCSO says Flagler deputies were finally able to bump the car, causing it to spin out into a ditch and slowly roll onto its roof.  They say the car was going less than 30 miles per hour when the "Precision Immobilization Technique" (PIT) maneuver was used on the car.

Inside the car they found $3,396 dollars, a .25 caliber Raven semi-automatic handgun, 5 ounces of crystal methamphetamine and 5.8 grams of cannabis.

Police arrested the driver of the vehicle, 47 year-old Thomas J. Loncala of 4600 Oakridge Road, Orlando.  He's charged by Flagler County deputies with aggravated fleeing and eluding, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and trafficking in methamphetamine with a firearm.

No charges were filed on the female passenger who was released at the scene.
