Jacksonville police are investigating after a train struck and killed a person at West Beaver Street and Cougar Road.
Authorities say the body is in such bad shape, that right now its unidentifiable. Police say there were 2 locomotives and 11 rail cars. The CSX train was a 2 person crew with no injuries. Investigators say the train was heading from Jacksonville to Orlando and carrying various freight containers.
A witness tells our newspartner Action news the body was mangled across the train tracks.
An investigation into how it happened is right now underway.
