Detectives in St. Johns County are searching for a woman they say asked an unsuspecting elderly woman for directions and then used a knife to rob her.
The victim was 76-years-old.
Detectives say she was approached in the St. Augustine beach area on A1A Thursday by a white female around 40-years-old with salt and pepper hair. Investigators say the suspect pulled out a knife, demanded the woman's purse and then took off running.
The suspect got away with the woman's purse and cell phone.
