Special meeting called on "employment matters" at FSCJ

Its third meeting in under two weeks.

The Florida State College at Jacksonville Boards of Trustees will meet tomorrow in a special meeting to review “employment matters”.

The meeting was announced just last night, and comes on the heels of more than five hours of workshops and meetings by the Board Tuesday to discuss the results of two recent reviews.  A morning workshop dealt with the recommendations handed down by MGT of America last week.  That was an independent institutional review contracted by the Board in an effort to revive the college’s image.  The afternoon regular board meeting dealt both with those recommendations as well as some administrative fall out from a financial aid audit given a few weeks ago.

We’re heard from the teacher’s union that faulty is not happy with how little they say they have been consulted, especially in this most recent review.

There are no further details available at this time on what employment matters the Board will take up, or if there will be any type of action or vote that takes place.  The agenda will be released tomorrow.

WOKV will be at the meeting to bring you live updates on what comes out of tomorrow’s discussion.  You can follow the conversation on Twitter @WOKVNews.
