Jacksonville, FL — UPS is hiring to fill just over 1,900 positions to get through the busy holidays- in a combination of seasonal and permanent posts.
The company had previously announced they would hire about 1,600 part-time positions in Jacksonville. WOKV has now confirmed that number has grown to 1,906 positions, which includes seasonal, part-time, and full-time. These jobs will be 1,575 package handlers, 198 driver-helpers and 133 part-time supervisors.
Some of the positions are for the Jacksonville hub on Imeson Road, while about 1,200 are for the new River City facility on Presidents Court. The River City positions would start working November 1st.
The company has been building their Jacksonville presence recently, including expanding their hub. For the holiday season nationwide, UPS expects to hire 95,000 employees.
