Jacksonville, Fl. — If you are an Amazon Prime member, your membership is about to get more expensive.
Amazon’s Chief Financial Officer announced Thursday, the cost of a Prime membership for U.S. customers will increase to $119, up from $99.
Another announcement made by the online retail giant is that Prime members will be able to have their packages delivered to eligible cars.
Consumer Warrior Clark Howard says this Amazon’s solution to porch pirates, who have become a plagued to online delivery sellers.
"As they follow delivery trucks as they go on their rounds. As soon the delivery truck is out of sight, they rush and grab the packages left at the driveway of someone's house."
Clark says Amazon Key In-Car delivery is able to work with your car because of the technology that’s already in it.
