First Coast High School teacher charged with distributing images of child pornography, following FBI raid

Jacksonville, FL — An FBI raid in Ponte Vedra ends with a First Coast High School teacher under arrest for child pornography charges.

Jeremy Clark appeared in federal court Thursday afternoon, just hours after the raid, where he was charged with distributing images of child pornography.

According to the criminal complaint obtained by WOKV, on February 22, 2018, an individual using the screen name ‘LLCoolJack1973’ responded to a message on an internet bulletin board that investigators say is frequented by individual with a sexual interest in children.

On that bulletin board, the user  ‘LLCoolJack1973’-- who was later identified as Clark-- allegedly began a conversation with an undercover FBI agent.

This is allegedly a piece of that conversation:

OCE: Were u active with someone special?

JACK: Yes, student.

OCE: I have naughty pics of my (daughter) I’m open to sharing but I have to trust u first. So hot u were active with a student. R U a teacher?

JACK. Yes.

The complaint says he then sent a lewd photo of himself and later sent a link that contained images of prepubescent children engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

If convicted, Clark faces up to 20 years in prison, up to $250,000 in fines and a potential lifetime of supervision, with a mandatory minimum sentence of 5 years.

During the raid, the FBI says it uncovered and seized several items of computer media, and an iPhone.

First Coast High School says it has alerted parents and students, with Duval County Public Schools releasing the following transcript of a robocall that was sent out to families.

"Good afternoon, First Coast High Parents. This is principal Simmons calling. As you know we care greatly for the well-being of our students and we work diligently to provide your students with teachers and staff of the highest character and capability. It is for that reason I am so disappointed to inform you that we have been notified that one of our teachers was taken into federal custody today. The investigation is ongoing, and the details have not yet been confirmed by law enforcement. However, rest assured that we are working with them and will continue to cooperate fully. We will provide you with additional information as soon as it is available to us. Our greatest priority will always be the well-being of your students and maintaining a safe and effective learning environment. More information will be coming soon, and please do not hesitate to reach out to me at 757-0080, if I can be of further assistance."

Clark’s next hearing is scheduled for March 13th.
