Jacksonville, FL — A man who was living in Fleming Island was arrested on an out of state warrant for sexual assault of a 9-year-old girl in Ohio.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office announced via Facebook the arrest of 50-year-old Clarence Sheese.  He was arrested Monday by Clay Deputies and the US Marshal Service as part of a joint investigation.

Sheese is charged with two counts of rape and one count of gross sexual imposition, according to a Clay County Sheriff’s Office arrest report.

Sheese was arrested Monday evening at a female friend’s home and, according to the Marshal Service, the woman is not facing any charges.
