Hurricane Michael hit Florida's panhandle one year ago Thursday as a Category five storm. Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh says Michael was the most intense hurricane to ever hit the panhandle.
“and the first category five U.S. landfalling hurricane since Andrew hit South Florida in 1992.” Mike says.
The storm made landfall at Mexico Beach just outside Panama City and it changed the area forever. Mike says slowly there is some rebuilding going on mainly to the east and west of Mexico Beach.
