A St. Johns County man is charged with extortion and cyber stalking after threatening to post nude photos of a girl on different social media sites if she didn’t get naked on Snapchat video according to an arrest report from the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office.
The report says 18-year-old Kameron McGauley threatened the victim and the report says she did comply against her will. The report says the victim feared her reputation would be ruined if she didn’t.
The report goes on to say McGauley would even threaten to send video of the victim to her parents if he didn't get more. Deputies say McGauley used similar tactics on other young victims while he was under 18 and the report says those charges have been turned over to the State Attorney’s Office for review.
Our news partner Action News Jax confronted McGauley about the charges Monday and he said he wasn’t talking.
