Jacksonville, FL — A man detained in Daytona Beach has reportedly confessed to killing a woman in Bartram Park.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office says the man called OnStar Monday morning, while driving on I-95 southbound, reporting some type of issue. JSO says the nature of the issue isn’t yet confirmed, but it led to OnStar contacting law enforcement. JSO says the Florida Highway Patrol pulled the man over, and he was transported to the hospital.
In the hospital, JSO says that man reported that a dead person was in his home.

That’s the point where Daytona Beach Police reached out to JSO, who did a welfare check on the man’s home on White Blossom Circle, which is off Bartram Park Boulevard. The victim was found dead inside.
JSO says foul play is suspected in the death, but they’re not confirming the manner of death, because of the ongoing investigation. The victim has not yet been identified, so JSO is not sure how she knew the man who’s detained and if she also lived in the residence.
JSO investigators are heading to Daytona Beach to speak with the man who has been detained.
Police are asking for any information you have about this incident or the people involved. You can call JSO at 904-630-0500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.
