The Jacksonville woman facing a July retrial for firing a gun during a domestic dispute, could face 60 years in prison if she's convicted.

The State Attorney's Office says if Marissa Alexander is convicted on each of the three aggravated assault charges she faces, Florida law requires the sentence for each to be served consecutively.

Alexander's original sentence was 20 years, but it was overturned by an appeals court last year.  Her retrial is scheduled for July.

The organization "Free Marissa Now" says State Attorney Angela Corey is demonstrating an abuse of power with the increased sentence.
