Mix-up in Mandarin: Thousands of voters sent incorrect polling location

It's a limited issue, but it's a frustrating one.

More than 4,000 Duval County voters received incorrect information about where they should go vote on Election Day.

As Mandarin voter Jessica Fowler explains, "It said we were voting at Access Church on Old St. Augustine Road. But Access Church is located on Losco Road and the address was for River City Science Academy."

Duval County's chief elections officer Robert Phillips tells our partner Action News Jax once they discovered the issue, they immediately set to make things right.

Phillips says, "We sent out new voter-information cards to everyone. It was correct on the sample ballot."

Voters in this specific precinct are supposed to vote at the River City Science Academy on Old St. Augustine Road.

According to Phillips, the mix-up was due to the building changing ownership.

No other precincts have had a similar issue.
