Fatal motorcycle crash now being investigated as hit-and-run

Jacksonville, FL — The Florida Highway Patrol now says a Friday night crash that killed a motorcyclist is now being investigated as a possible hit-and-run incident.

The crash took place Friday around 11PM on US 1, south of Bowden Road. FHP initially reported that the driver of the motorcycle was in the left lane when he laid the motorcycle down and slid in to the median.

An updated crash report now shows investigators believe this may actually have been a hit-and-run. The make and model of the other vehicle is not known, but it may be light blue and would have minor left side damage. The motorcyclist, 35-year-old Charles Boston, of Jacksonville, was brought to Memorial Hospital in critical condition. FHP confirms he was pronounced dead Sunday.
