Buck Henry, ‘Graduate’ writer, dies at 89

Writer, actor and director Buck Henry, best known as the screenwriter of “The Graduate,” died Wednesday.

Henry received an Oscar nomination in 1967 for the screenplay for “The Graduate” and a second nomination for best director in 1978 for “Heaven Can Wait.” He was also known for his appearances on “Saturday Night Live” and co-creating the TV spy comedy series “Get Smart.”

Henry died at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after suffering a heart attack, according to Deadline. He was 89 years old.
