If you’ve ever taken a bite of a Reese’s and thought, “Wait… did this taste different?” — you’re not alone. After some recent criticism and online chatter, The Hershey Company announced it’s planning to bring all Reese’s products back to their classic recipe. The move comes after concerns that some newer or seasonal items were using lower-cost ingredients instead of the traditional milk chocolate and peanut butter combo fans know and love.
Here’s the good news: your go-to favorites — like the original Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups — never actually changed. But some of the newer variations had started using different coatings and ingredients, which didn’t sit well with longtime fans. Now, Hershey says it’s going back to basics across the board, with plans to fully roll out the classic recipes by 2027. Translation? That iconic chocolate + peanut butter combo isn’t going anywhere — and soon, everything under the Reese’s name should taste exactly how you remember it.
