Texas lawyer given citation after strolling beach as Michael Myers

Once again we are here at the most horrifying time of the year where we celebrate those things that go ‘bump’ in the night.

As we prepare for another Halloween whether you are going Trick or Treating or staying at home with the lights off if you are looking for a good scare these five classics should be on your watchlist.

Halloween (1978)

This is a no brainer as 48 years ago America got introduced to the slasher who not really good with words Michael Myers. From the creepy piano theme, the the mask, and a pure determination to not quit. This movie I still have to watch with the lights on.

A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)

Freddy Kruger made an entire generation take no doze, or drink coffee to prevent them from falling asleep because once they did their worst nightmare would become a reality. With a burned face and that glove it gave the perfect reason not to fall asleep.

Candyman (1992)

This film taught me a valuable lesson to keep peoples name out of your mouth because once you mention “Candyman’s” name 5 times it usually would be the last time you spoke. This movie has ties to me because it was filmed in Chicago making this a cult classic.

Scream (1996)

A question that would give movie goers chills “What’s your favorite scary movie?” as Ghostface terrorized his victims with so many twists and turns with just enough laughter make this an instant classic.

Get Out (2017)

Jordan Peele had me looking at teacups differently as this movie has psychological suspense, along with social commentary and a twist that nobody was expecting.

What horror movie scared you so bad that you STILL won’t watch it today?
