Jacksonville, FL — As the search continues for a fifth suspect tied to the murder of 7-year-old Heidy Rivas Villanueva, we're learning new details about how exactly investigators say 28-year-old Edward Garcia is connected to the fatal Westside shooting.

WOKV first told you on Monday, when the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office announced an active warrant for Garcia and the arrest of his mother, 50-year-old Kezia Holmes.  ]

Now, Holmes' arrest report is revealing why they're charged in connection to the shooting.

According to the arrest report, police say Garcia was driving his mom's vehicle, when he attempted to pick up two  of the suspects---Trevonte Phoenix and Abrion Price-- tied to the shooting of Heidy. The report says as he was picking them up, a bullet hit the driver's side windshield.

JSO has previously said Phoenix and Price had set up a gun sale on social media, with the sole purpose of robbing the other individual.  JSO says a friend of that person, Stanley Harris III, fired at Phoenix and Price, leading to the exchange of gunfire that killed Heidy.  ]

The report says Phoenix, Price, and Garcia were later seen at an apartment complex by a witness, who told police they heard Phoenix allegedly say, "I think we just killed a girl."  That same witness says they also confronted Holmes about her vehicle, which at the time was all over the news. The report going on to say the witness told police, Holmes was only worried about her son.

When police later interviewed Holmes, the report says she admitted to taking her vehicle to a repair shop to get the windshield replaced.  Holmes faces a charge of tampering with evidence, as JSO says she knowingly tried to conceal her vehicle had been damaged, at the same time officers were searching for it.

Holmes' son, Garcia, has an active warrant for accessory after the fact.
